Bill Guerrero is a nationally recognized leader in higher education finance, with over 26 years of C-suite experience specializing in financial sustainability. He currently serves as the CFO for the University of Connecticut Athletics division adapting to this dynamic auxiliary revenue stream. His career began at Purchase College, SUNY, where he served as Executive Director of the Auxiliary Service Corporation for 13 years. He later held CFO and Vice President for Finance and Administration roles at Albertus Magnus College, Ithaca College, Springfield College, and the University of Bridgeport, consistently achieving positive operational margins through innovative non-tuition revenue strategies and disciplined expense management. His expertise encompasses: accounting, finance, operational and capital budgets, treasury, information technology, human resources, digital transformation, facilities, athletics, endowments, debt management, environmental sustainability/ESG, enterprise risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and auxiliary services/non-tuition revenue. Some of his professional highlights is creation of Purchase Park 2 Fly, a discount airport parking business highlighted by NACAS, which generated over million dollars in revenue from first year of inception, self-operating dining at Ithaca College, and numerous environmental sustainability programs that were 1st of their kind on college campuses. Guerrero has delivered over 50 national and regional presentations, webinars, and podcasts including the annual NACAS “AVE” series and has served on numerous higher education association boards such as EACUBO, NACAS East, SASA and SwipeOutHunger. He holds a BA in Communications from the University of Connecticut, an MBA in Finance from Sacred Heart University, a Professional Certificate in Mergers and Acquisitions from Columbia University, Professional Certificate in Behavioral Finance from the University of Chicago, and Disruption Theory from Harvard University, among other academic credentials.
