Erin OrtizManaging Director, Janney
Prior to joining Janney in 2017 as the Firm’s credit analyst and strategist to institutional investors, Erin was an assistant vice president at Moody’s Investors Service as a bond analyst. In this role, she was a lead credit analyst for higher education and not-for-profit issuers across the US. Prior to her role at Moody’s, Erin managed the financial, programmatic, and business operations at the National Center on Philanthropy and the Law, an academic center at New York University, and was a healthcare consultant to academic medical centers and nonprofit hospitals. Erin is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Business Logistics and Business Law and a graduate of New York University with a Master of Public Administration and Policy. Erin is a member and former board member of the Philadelphia Area Municipal Analyst Society and National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA). She was named as a 2019 Rising Star in the Bond Buyer and is a Fellow of Leadership Philadelphia, Class of 2022. She is a FINRA registered representative and municipal advisor. |
Erin Ortiz is a Managing Director at Janney, Montgomery Scott. As a member of the Janney’s Higher Education and Not-for-Profit Advisory Group since 2022, Erin advises clients on a broad range of topics related to debt and capital projects, rating agency management, and provides insight on credit and debt capacity of various strategies. Erin currently works with a variety of public and private institutions including The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Northwestern University, Saint Peter’s University, and Wake Forest University.
