Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration, Stony Brook University
Jed M Shivers started his career in higher education in 1983 working at Rutgers Medical School (now Robert Wood Johnson). He spent the next 35 years in medical school and faculty practice administration culminating in an 11 year stint at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as Associate Dean for Finance and Administration. In 2018 he became the VP for Finance and Administration for the University of North Dakota where he worked on implementing and operationalizing an RCM economic framework and reducing deferred maintenance and building up the capital assets of UND. In 2022 he joined Stony Brook University as the Senior VP for Finance and Administration. Shivers is a founding board member, treasurer, and Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee of the New York Climate Exchange and was part of the team that negotiated the contract with the Trust for Governor's Island.
