Mildred Mihlon

President, Felician University

Mildred A. Mihlon, PhD has over 25 years of leadership in higher education, particularly in Hispanic-serving and Catholic institutions focused on service and justice.

As president of Felician University, she has increased student-centered programs, including a 24/7 counseling and wellness center supported by a Title V Grant-funded initiative supporting low-income and minority students, earning recognition from Excelencia in Education and the Gates Foundation. Her focus on partnerships has driven a 21% growth rate in first-year enrollment, strengthened dual enrollment and transfer pathways, and expanded opportunities for adults with special needs through REED Autism Services.

Dr. Mihlon has also added several new sports teams and expanded graduate programs in Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Occupational Therapy. Under her leadership, she has improved online learning options and secured funding to support adult learners through The Felician Advantage, an innovative online platform for career development.

She currently serves on the board of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey and the Meadowlands Chamber.  Dr. Mihlon holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from CUNY Graduate Center.
