Paul has been employed at the University of Pittsburgh since 1994, and is currently the University’s Treasurer. Prior to becoming Treasurer in 2018, Paul spent 20 years as the Managing Director of Investments and Assistant Treasurer, where Paul managed a team of investment professionals responsible for investing the University's endowment. Before coming to the University, Mr. Lawrence worked at a public accounting firm as a forensic accountant and was a Certified Public Accountant. He graduated with highest distinction from The Pennsylvania State University with a BS in finance and earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. Mr. Lawrence held the Chartered Financial Analyst designation for many years.
