Brian McNeill

Brian McNeill is Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer at Molloy University. He is a mission-driven financial executive with more than 30 years of experience leading financial strategy, operational transformation, and long-range planning across complex organizations.

Before joining Molloy University, McNeill spent decades in the energy sector, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer at National Grid, where he oversaw financial strategy and performance management for multiple U.S. businesses serving more than 7 million customers and managing more than $14 billion in assets. He also served on the boards of several regulated operating companies and advised numerous venture capital startups.

McNeill brings a unique perspective to higher education, drawing on his experience in another capital-intensive industry where long-term investment decisions require balancing risk, uncertainty, and strategic priorities. At Molloy University, he focuses on aligning financial strategy with institutional mission, supporting sustainable growth, strengthening financial resilience, and creating long-term value for the university and its community.
