Resilient Leadership: Mindful Strategies for Presence, Principle, and Performance

Denise Zack - Ripple Affect Life Coaching, LLC

Now more than ever, higher education faces enrollment shifts, workforce gaps, rising mental health needs, funding pressure, and rapid technological change. As a result, campus leaders are being asked to do more—with less—while maintaining mission integrity and student success. This session explores how to lead with clarity, compassion, and strategic focus in the midst of constant change.

Participants will learn practical, evidence-based tools to steady the mind, simplify decision-making, and align people, processes, and priorities. Through interactive mindfulness practices and real-world campus scenarios, we’ll explore how calm minds make better choices, how to model presence and care for teams, and how to align institutional operations with what truly drives impact.

Learning Objectives

  1. Set and communicate clear priorities that balance mission, funding, and student success.
  2. Model mindful leadership that strengthens trust, focus, and well-being across campus.
  3. Simplify operations and measure what matters to make data-informed, human-centered decisions.
  4. Foster cross-campus partnerships that build resilience and shared accountability.
  5. Implement a mindful response plan: listen deeply, share facts clearly, act in small sprints, and review often.
